Separate anchoringpoints

Anchor loops are individual anchoring points that are normally intended for one user.

They may replace ridge rails on low-pitched roofs (less than 6 degrees). Traditionally, they have only been installed on low-pitched roofs (less than 6 degrees). Anchor loops as an extra anchoring at the outer corners of the roof are now used, even on sloped roofs.

In those cases where individual anchor loops cannot be installed, there is the alternative of installing a short ridge rail (one tube to two brackets), for example on tiled roofs.

Anchor loop requirements

Anchor loops must satisfy the requirements the that EU sets out for anchor loops.

Remember that

Anchor loops are intended for direct connection to personal fall protection equipment. Existing anchor loops on low-pitch roofs may be used to install temporary horizontal anchor lines.

The effect on the outer anchor loops can easily become so great that they bend.
